Date night

I think when people hear the phrase 'date night' they think, struggling married couple who barely bat an eye lid at one and other because they are so rushed off their feet with children, pets, work, trying to pay the mortgage and head off on that summer cruise that's been long promised. Not true guys! I think for couples in any circumstances, date night is a great way to throw aside the technology and say screw you to the world for a little while. When on our five year anniversary away, we had a biiig realisation! We couldn't believe the time we had for one another, we focused on each other, we listened and we had a great time. Probably because we didn't have work, or a house to run, bills to pay, a future to plan or family and friends to worry about. And not to mention we had no phone signal, a blessing in disguise.

So when we arrived home we decided each Wednesday we would have a date night, set aside our phones and have some quality us time.

Home-made pizzas (so scrummy, dominoes watch out!) which we ate in candle light.

Goodies are a must on a movie night, those red tubes are my absolute addiction right now! We watched Thumbelina my absolute favourite film growing up, it's a classic.

I saw these jammies in Primark and just couldn't resist.

And only my favourite person ever, looking wonderfully masculine in a ditsy floral duvet cover.
