The best Christmas present

It feels necessary to start this post with, I hope you all had the most fantastic Christmas! It's possibly January or maybe even February whilst you are reading this, but this post is some time old as I am writing this on the 28th December 2013, two days after Santa Claus' visit.
But it wasn't Christmas day that we recieved the best present, it was this morning, the best present imaginable. I have had this inkling for some time, that 2014 is going to be a fabulous year. Correct my inkling was, as next year myself and Simon will become parents to our very own little.
We got two lines on the pee stick!

Today it is really stormy and windy out, the banging and crashing woke me up ridiculously early, so I decided to go ahead and get the test done. Simon didn't hear me get up,  he just heard me come downstairs. When I got downstairs I simply told him the weather was freaking me out and I wanted to be with him. After a good ramble about the weather, I whispered into his ear that we were going to be a mummy and daddy. He took it absolutely amazingly. It was me who shocked myself, I froze and was nervous. I made myself a sugary brew before spitting it back in the cup - tea and diet coke taste weird to me these days (we now know why)!

Simon is currently at work for the first time since Christmas, luckily only for a half day. So when he gets home we are headed out to lunch to celebrate, of course not before having a gander at the sales! Me being the super organised ocd lady I am, I usually get clothes out ready for us so we can head out the door as quickly as possible. Today was no different, except I left a little note on each of our outfits for the occasion.
